We could have guessed we didn't need to take avy gear to the Murchison bowl from the lack of snow on the approach trail, bare sections down low and easily below threshold in the bowl. Loose rock on Continuum and the reforming pillar on climbers' left of Murchison are definitely greater hazards than the snow at the moment.
