Went to Castle Mtn, traversed to Stuart Knob and Helena Ridge and skied down the scrambling route (broad S gully from SE ridge). Great touring conditions in the alpine with a supportive crust all day. No signs of instabilities except for cornice failures, but these did not propagate. Ski crampons were quite useful. The track to Rockbound Lake is super icy, it was hard to keep speed in check and tough on the legs. Skied right from the parking lot.
