Shames backcountry

We went to the darkside of the Dome again but a large cornice failure from the day before and cardboard-like snow from recent rain made us change our plan to mellower runs and less exposure from cornices. We skied from the top of the Dome into North Bowl which was half good half bad. Conditions will improve but the recent rain didn’t help that day. Lower down skiing was excellent, Hangover was creamy. Weather wise we got lots of sun, some snow, cold and warm temperatures… expect wet loose, small hard slabs, and variable conditions.
