Dug a pit and did a column test on a 35 degree, south facing slope at 2430m. In line with where most groups were dropping off the ridge today. Snow depth of 140cm with basal facets from ground to ~20cm. Found two layers of slightly-larger granules 110cm and 130cm down. No result from compression test; though when we pulled the column down it sheared at the 110cm layer.
