Snowpack
Began skinning on road at 950m; observed shooting cracks throughout day and whoomphing on road at ~1100m, as well as minor whoomphing 1600-1800m (felt like Styrofoam underfoot). Completed compression test at 1700m: CT12 (SP) on SH down 25cm. Snowpack was shallow (shrubs exposed down ~70cm). Resistance test indicated soft over hard snow. Skied from ~2100m, down through open forest, cutblocks and road. No avalanches observed.
