The snowpack has gone to the dogs

The warm temps and a light rain continue to eat away at the snowpack. The surface crust was melting fast and was unsupportive to both skis and foot traffic by early morning. The upper.mid and lower snowpack are well settled and no avalanche activity was noted. With the poor riding conditions we decided to do a little community service and begin removing the numerous fallen trees the are blocking access. Hopefully this work will all pay off when things turn around. Finger crossed.
