Nasty wind crust present on all slopes in all areas. A few select sheltered slopes had amazing powder, but they were hard to find.
Weather
Heavy snow falling on the way out.
Snowpack
2cm wind crust present where we dug our pit, thickness varied greatly from area to area. Had a failure on a crust 40cm deep at 23. Then had a failure on a second crust 55cms deep at 28. Sudden planar on the first crust. Snow was bonded well and below those two crusts was solid dense snow.
