Weather

Below-freezing temperatures were observed in the alpine regions and gusty southeast winds. In contrast, the valley floor experienced relatively calm conditions with slightly above-freezing temperatures.

Snowpack

Below-freezing temperatures have created a supportive crust on sunny slopes above 10,000 feet. Recent warm temperatures have significantly reduced the snow volume on already low snow levels on south-facing paths above Ophir Road, west of town.
