Weather

Sunny and warm with some cold air pooling in the valley bottom early in the morning.

Snowpack

Between 10,200' and 10,600' the snowpack ranged from 80-105cm and is mostly faceted. I dug on a west and north aspect and found a barely supportable recent slab sitting over weaker facets from earlier in the year. On a steeper south facing slope, there was clear signs of water moving through the snowpack. Percolation channels and pooling were evident below the recent storm snow, but water had moved beyond this boundary and penetrated deeper in the snowpack. With a good freeze last night, every layer was frozen.
