Weather
Cloudy skies, cold temperatures, and moderate southwest winds with gusts to 40 mph. 7" of new snow with 0.55" of water content measured this morning at the CAIC Snow Study Plot. Periods of light snow fell throughout the day with little additional accumulation.
Snowpack
Evidence of intense wind transport from yesterday's strong southwest winds. Drifted accumulations in leeward terrain near treeline were 12-16" deep, but only very minor cracking was observed during testing. Testing in steep north aspects below treeline easily produced D1-1.5 size dry loose activity.
Avalanche
No fresh natural activity observed in known avalanche terrain along the highway corridor
