Weather
Sunny until 2pm when 10-15 mph winds rolled in from the west and turned partly cloudy. Just under 12,000' off of CO 91 and Chalk Creek.
Snowpack
We found 20cm of facets at the base of the snowpack followed by a cohesive layer about a third of the way through the snowpack from the facet layer until a strong layer was found about 25cm from the top of snowpack. Top of snowpack was fresh snow. (SE aspect at 11,400'). CT showed break at about 18cm from the top layer and then again when the base layer facets broke from more pressure. ECT showed same results, however no prorogation across the extended column. Off of CO 91 and Chalk Creek.
Avalanche
No avalanches in sight.
