Weather
Snow began around sunrise and continued heavy through the day.
Snowpack
New snow piled up quickly and was not beonding well to a variety of old snow surfaces (near surface facets and crusts) New snow was reactive to skier pressure by the early afternoon, where sluffs (D1) were easily triggered on steep terrain. Slides was mostly limited to new snow, though may have entrained older snow on shady slopes. Lee paths near and above treeline quickly loading with ample new snow and northerly winds blowing at efficient transport speeds.
