while on a slope roughly 25-30 degrees I felt a whumph and the snow beneath me released to the ground and slid downhill about 1-2ft and then stopped. I was aware of wet, more "point" slide risks but this propagated like a midwinter slide and ran to the ground. Luckily it only moved a short distance.
