Weather

Light winds from the NW which was just enough to remove snow from the trees. Looking to the higher ridges snow was being transported to the leeward sides. Low to mid 20s and mostly clear with a few lingering cirrus clouds.

Snowpack

New snow was around 2 inches and deeper in some spots from the amount that had been removed from the trees. Roughly 2 - 4 inches of new snow rests on a 4F layer. There was a collapse and whump felt and seen with cracking at the bottom of the gulch when we finished a run in the east facing trees. In the area where the whump was felt there is a very deep facted layer we were sinking to. Overall nice conditions and great snow.
