Approximately 30 degrees, sunny, 10-15mph gusts in spots.
Snowpack
For most of the tour it was Powder, as we left the trees we noticed a serious wind slab building. Which we did take note of and start to factor into decision making.
Avalanche
It was a sizable avalanche that was propigated from the skin track. I had stopped to access slope angle with my Anglo meter, and dig alittle pit. I was in thinner snow. As I stepped into the wind slab to check it out, it whomped. The East face collapse and took everything above me with it.
