Weather

At 0940 at the TH (10,811ft), the wind was calm, blowing from the NW, sky was covered and it was snowing at a moderate rate, and the air temp was 12 degrees F. Higher up in some meadows at 1040 (11,363ft), the precip rate had dropped a bit, slightly stronger NW winds, and the air temp was 3.2 degrees F.

Snowpack

At the TH, the snow height was 73cm, at Peter Rabbit, it was 65cm. At the 11,363ft meadows, I dug a hasty pit with a depth of 87cm on an E aspect. Surface temp was -17.5 degrees C and T20 was -12 degrees C which I find to be a significant temp gradient. F hardness 87-67cm, 4F 76-58cm, 1F 58-55cm, and F 55-0cm. At 55cm is where I began to find faceted grains which I find quite noteworthy. I got no results with a CT.
