Weather
A cold and snowy start with morning temps around 5F warming to almost 20F degrees. New snow accumulations 12-13 inches and snowing at a rate of S2+. The winds were very calm and skies were mostly cloudy with several rays of sun.
Snowpack
11 inches of new snow had fallen overnight with an additional accumulation of 1-2 inches during the day. The winds were calm with very little evidence of blowing snow or drifting. The new snow sits atop a firm melt-freeze crust which it bonded well to. Saw no cracking or collapses as we traveled.
