Avalanche
HS-ASc-R1-D1-S HS-ASy-R2-D2.5-S Our group decided to put 2 ski cuts across the start zone on the north facing Couloir at the top of Crystal. The first ski cut had no result. The second ski cut yielded an R1D1 windslab that sympathetically triggered a larger slab within the guts of the Couloir our group planned to ski. All slabs broke within newly windloaded snow. Pictures are attached. HS-NS-R2-D2 Along the ridge west of Crystal’s summit, the group noted a natural windslab that released just below ridgeline.
