Weather
Snowing pretty hard. About 10-12 inches of new snow. Winds were mild coming from what seemed like the north. Was 27 degrees in the parking lot before the skin in.
Snowpack
The storm snow felt stable most of the skin up the slope. When traversing our of some trees while skinning up, we observed bad cracking in the snow. The cracking occurred on a steeper rollover. The snow was a bit more firm and felt more like a wind slab. No instabilities were observed while skiing down on more mellow slopes around 30 degrees of angle.
Avalanche
No avalanches observed.
