Weather

Warm. Broken clouds allowed brief moments of sunshine, very quickly warming temperatures and softening the snow surface.

Snowpack

Below treeline, the supportable snow surface quicky deteriorated during the brief periods of sunshine and became unsupprtive and isothermal by noon with minor full depth collapsing around skis. Very small, fresh, full depth point releases were observed on easterly-facing cutbanks.

Avalanche

Several small Loose Wet avalanches releasing from steep, slopes and pockets in the cliffs above Maroon Creek. One triggered a small wet-slab, producing the largest (D2)of the slides. Most of these appeared to have ran on 3/8 late in the day, but unable to tell definitively.
