Dry and Dusty Conditions

Hi MCR Subscribers,

I climbed Homage to the Spider yesterday. Overall, my team experienced great conditions.

The gully that you cross to gain base of the route is completely dry.

Pitch 4 has a significant amount of dirt and dust in the crux holds. The plant life in the corner above are dying and dirt is likely to keep coming down.

Thanks to Parks Trail Maintenance. They have done a lot of work removing the big trees that blew down a few years ago. There’s only one new tree down on the trail as you begin descending to Mt Louis. Great travel.
