Skied the south west aspect of mt ukes south sub peak. Parked at paint pots and walked the ochre trail til we hit the bottem of the avy path, skined up for 150m in deep unsupportive trail breaking conditions till boot packing through old tree debris up the path wall on the right, once in the forest to the right of the path we worked through some serious hainous bushwacking and deep unsupportive conditions for another long and slow 300m. Things slowly became deeper and more supportive with a starting base of 40cm growing to 1m+. After about 500m things started to open up abit and coverage was good so things sped up but the 30cm of storms snow at the bottem quickly grew to 40-60cm of unconsolidated blower powder up high making trail breaking interesting. Skied from directly under the summit ridge into the main path to valley bottem. Supportive crusts and deep blower powder. No signs of instabiltys. A previous avalanche size 3 or larger had ripped out during the inversion running full path leaving the bottem 300m litered with debris covered in storms snow. It also must have went historic last year as we found a pile of trees with snow that had not melted from the summer previous at the bottem. Was a great day long run great snow, surface hoar is present up in alpine and snow is not bonding well. Id be very careful if this upper storm snow consolidates and starts slabbing up the dec 15th interface is slick.was snowing all day with low vis but only precip of 2cm at the road.
