Weather

Could see constant winds moving snow above treeline, near treeline conditions were gusty wind many periods of calm. Clouds built form clear skies at start of tour, to overcast an hour later. Wind gust speeds also increased.

Snowpack

A quick tour to look for wind slab development near and above treeline. South winds were gusty near and below treeline, with very thin (~10cm thick) easily breakable slabs forming on the surface of north slopes. Small sluffs triggered by cornice fall were visible back in the basin above treeline. No fresh avalanche activity was visible in this basin, however many recent avalanches were noted on east and north near and above treeline slopes.
