Weather

Obscured and overcast skies moving in and out with party sunny moments. Temperatures were below freezing and winds were light out the west-northwest.

Snowpack

35cm of snow sits on a 10cm crust on west aspects with moist snow below to the ground. Last nights storm snow sluffs at a grapple layer on the crust below treeline . On north aspects at similar elevation, there is no crust and snow cracks and a small pocket pulled out during the day on the 5cm below the storm interface in the facets.

Avalanche

1 R2D2 avalanches and 2 N-SS-R1D1 avalanches near treeline and 1 R2D2 avalanche above treeline were visible on Garett's shoulder and Willoughby Ridge even in the poor visibility.
