Weather
Overcast and light snow and sun, temps in the 20sF at the bottom and 0sF at the top. Light wind on the ridge and no wind in the denser canopied woods
Snowpack
The less canopy the more whumphing. We found whumphing specific to the intersection of dense forest areas and open areas. I, the well canopied trees, hand pits had no results of column failure or extended column failure with the storm slab lacking propagation. I the open there was a slab but most zones offered a bed surface that was resistant due to it being wind slab.
Avalanche
It was very small and isolated, it was filling back in but the crown was about 6" We were unconcerned by it becasue it was not representative to the line we intended to ski.
