The day started with perfect blue skies and deteriorated throughout the morning. Cloudy and heavily gusting winds began around noon. -Windloaded slopes on ascent up the French had us careful with terrain selection. -The pitch up to the Robertson col was mostly rocky with a 10-20cm layer of snice, which made for an excellent crampon ascent. Significant cornice at the col. -Descent down the Robertson was brilliant, if a little dense wind transported snow. -several 1-1.5 wet slides observed off the gravel chutes on the east aspect (skiers right) of the lower Robertson drainage.
