Weather

Some clouds, hot

Snowpack

Firm in the morning, higher elevations seemed consolidated other than a few inches of loose newer snow on top, lower elevations were soggy later

Avalanche

Lots of small loose sloughs, steep north facing rocky slope on the south side of the valley we ascended had what looked like small wind slab slides from earlier in the week. Lower gulley we skied out had a large wet slide from earlier in April, and just after we passed the debris, another small wet, muddy slide came down from the same south facing hill.
