Weather

Sunny n cold. Moderate winds ATL.

Snowpack

Around 15” settled snow since Christmas time. Resting over a mixed bag. S aspect BTL has a supportive crust below the new snow and very weak facets below. Westerly slope BTL and NTL had ski pen around 15 cms but became bottomless in some spots. ATL was mostly blown out on West with 6-8” of new snow.

Avalanche

NW aspect on Red 3 showed a D2 this morning, undetermined when it ran but maybe Dec 27 or 28. Seemed like a persistent slab but only viewed from afar. Across the highway in the Senator Beck area they appeared to be a skier triggered slide on East aspect NTL. Looked like it was triggered from the flat ridge above and I’d guess on 12/28.
