Weather

Snow continued to fall during the duration of the tour, but seems to be tapering in the early hours of the afternoon. Tempatures were mild and wind were light. Lovely Holiday strom day!

Snowpack

Around 8 inches of very low density snow fell in the past 24 hours. The snow landed on a variety of surfaces and isn't sticking well to steep slopes. The new snow was soft and wasn't forming a slab. On sunny exposed slopes below treeline the new snow is falling on a melt-freeze crust. Small avalanches were triggered on steep rocky slopes, but the snow quickly broke apart.

Avalanche

Small soft slab avalanches easily triggered on steep slopes.
