Weather
Obscured skies, cold single digit temperatures, and light winds. At 0500; 16" of new snow with 0.8" of water content. Snowed heavy at times for most of the day with snowfall easing in the afternoon. At 1430; an additional 12" of new snow with 0.55" of water content. Storm total 33" of snow with 1.6" of water content and still snowing.
Snowpack
Widespread minor collapse and moderate cracking with shooting cracks in a couple of locations. Although the new snow was not very slabby it was quite touchy.
Avalanche
Widespread shallow small (mostly D1) slabs along the highway corridor. No observed activity reached large (D2) size.
