Weather

Light snow for the majority of the trip with the exception of a one hour period of S-2. Northwest winds remained steady at about 15mph with light amounts of blowing snow.

Snowpack

Total snow depth on south-facing slopes was generally less than a meter. New small cornice formation on southeast side of ridge. Several test pits in multiple locations showed basically the same structure. 50-70 centimeters of well developed, uncohesive facets with multiple embedded sun crusts with 20 cm of recent wind-drifted fist to 4 finger snow on top. Test results varied with easy propagating extended column test results at a facet/suncrust layer near 40 cm from the ground. Other extended column tests produced non propagating results 20 cm from the surface at the new snow interface.
