Generally calm with temps in the low 20's. North wind picked up in the valley by mid-afternoon.

This trip was aimed to gather a better view of current conditions of the East Riverside path and adjacent paths that can effect the highway. Previous and sustained north winds appeared to have not loaded the lookers left shoulder and bowl dramatically. Perhaps wind-swept again when winds backed to the SW at moderate speeds associated with the last storm (1/26-1/31). The avalanche release and crown (via artillery) on 1/12 in the upper start zone along the northwest shoulder is still apparent to the naked eye from miles away.
