20230210 Climax Mine Project Observations D. Weber, D. Mathes, O. Miller, J. Campbell, C. Smith Traveled on S-SE aspects BTL near the Iron Mask avalanche path. Snowpack tests showed propagating results on mid-pack facets 30-40 cm down BTL on SE aspect. Snow surface was moist by 1230. P hard crust 2 cm thick observed about 15cm down. Soft slab observed mid-pack. Collapses were felt near the pit location. Smart probe data in agreement with pit profile.
