Weather
Just a trace of new snow. Storm total (5/9-5/10); 18" with 1.8" of water content. Skies were partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures were warm, 40F at Pass level at 1400.
Snowpack
Recent new snow trying to adjust to some sun and warm temperatures. Riding conditions were poor. Wet snow avalanches were easily triggered with minimal effort and entrained sizable amounts of wet new snow.
Avalanche
Natural wet snow avalanche activity (D2) was widespread on N-E-SE aspects in the Camp Creek drainage, Lake Creek drainage, along the Knife Ridge, and elsewhere. On several occasions wet slabs were triggered by loose wet snow avalanches from above.
