Weather
Another bluebird fall day with generally light winds and moderate gusts along ridge tops. Temperatures range from upper 20's F to low's 30 F.
Snowpack
The snowpack continues to diminish during this period of warm, dry weather. Northwest to north through east-facing aspects near and above treeline still harbor a thin, but continuous snow cover. We found wind-drifted snow up to a foot thick in isolated terrain features at higher elevations. These pencil hard drifts exist above softer snow and 1-2 mm facets near the ground. Southerly-facing slopes continue to melt out with many already down to bare ground.
