Weather

Part cloudy early am, nice red sunrise, then high overcast rest of the day. Temps lows 20's during our exit. Not much wind but we were below 10k

Snowpack

~ 14-18" Hs at our high point about 10,000 ft. Wafer crust at the ground. Topped by facets & depth hoar with a decaying mid pack slab and around 6" or so of near surface facets....recycled powda. In areas with no old tracks had great collapse & cracking that would rumble off 30-50 feet. All failing at the crust-facet interface

Avalanche

None noted, though on a short section of road that had been machine groomed there was a lot of failure at that wafer crust at/near the ground that had popped off. Couple days old.
