Broken clouds with periods of light snow and gusty SW winds.

Coverage is good but the structure is poor — anywhere you step out of your skis you sink to the ground. Soft slabs over facets, with a thin rain crust 15 cm from the top and a couple of remnant crusts near the bottom with depth hoar for the foundation. I saw some sluffs in steeper ENE terrain that entrained loose snow, and ran on the crust layer. A precursor of bigger avalanches to come. The signs are there, the weight is not.
