Snowpack
30-70cm of snow in most areas. Sled tracks were penetrating almost to ground on steeper slopes, but some open areas and lower angle terrain is supportable to sled traffic. The snowpack is made up of 10-20cm of facets near the ground with a 10-20cm stiffer 1F- slab above. There is a layer of surface hoar at the Dec 28 interface that was 6mm and laying flat in the snow profile with another 10-20cm on top of that. Ski pen is 5cm and foot pen is full depth. Most places the snow pack is below threshold. Due south facing slopes have a 5cm crust on the the surface that is inconsistent across terrain. The snow profile was dug on the only near treeline slope in sight with enough snow to be at threshold.
