Weather

NTL & ATL: 2-3" new VERY low density snow by dawn, Clear, temps in the 20's, No winds until 1pm when W winds were 1-5mph with light snow transport visible.

Snowpack

Highly variable. BTL depths 0-20cm, NTL depths 60-90cm max on northerly sheltered or in wind deposited areas, ATL: stripped with the majority of snow in isolated leeward terrain features. Poor interface between new low density snow and old wind firm snow on isolated leeward aspects NTL. NTL elevation has little structure or heavily wind effected. Marginal ski conditions with lots of rocks.

Avalanche

A few small R1D1 storm slab avalanches on SE aspects of Mt. Chapin & Mt. Chaquita in the start zones of loaded gullies. All within last 24hrs in ATL elevation band.
