Avalanche
While skiing back toward the Broome Hut from ATL rounded the corner and saw a fresh slide on the corner of the headwall. Skied a little further to get a better view saw 2 males walking around on the debris. Asked if they were ok, reply yes. Missing anyone - reply no. Said they lost skis. One skier one snowboarder, traveling on snowshoes. Kept an eye on them while they collected themselves. Snowboarder was strapping in looked like he was going to ride further under hazard to skiers Left of the slide. I yelled so he could here me and advised him to stay on debris and exit downhill. Told him I was worried about hazard above and next to area that had not slid. He then stopped putting his board on and walked downslope and out of hazardous area. Overheard the one young man say "probably not going to tell my parents about this". These two men were very lucky. Not sure if they had transceivers or other safety gear. Probably happened about 10:15am Slope aspect East Start elevation about 11,600' Width 150' vertical run ~100' ~2' crown Ran on old snow surface D-2 Large enough to bury or kill someone Soft Slab Hiker triggered. Unsure of what they were doing when avalanche occurred
