Weather

Windy and it never let up all day. Temps were probably 20-25, but with strong winds out of the NW, with a couple of gusts that had to be in the 65-70 range. Winds were strong enough to transport significant snow below tree line.

Snowpack

Dug a pit on ENE aspect and observed weak snow (F) sitting on top of a 1F/P mid-pack slab, sitting on top of very weak snow (F-) at or near the ground. Total snow depth was about 65 cm. Below tree line observed several small soft slabs cracking and breaking off while skinning up. At tree line did not observe any cracking, but did hear some drum-like sounds when skinning over hard, wind blown pockets of snow.
