Near treeline on the ridge snow depth ranges from 50cm on West to 100cm on the East. Ski penetration is about 20cm and boot penetration is full. A quick pit on a NE aspect at 11,370' had a HS of 90cm. There was a 1F hard slab over the early season facets and a test showed ECTP 13 down 45cm. Also, below the 10cm of new snow there was a layer of preserved 4-8mm surface hoar.
