Crisp, sunny day with moderate north wind.

Snowpack

Main wind transport window has come to an end in the La Plata Mountains. Lots of wind pressed, textured, and scoured places above treeline. We encountered evidence of the wind around 11,300 feet and higher. Consistent loud collapses and shooting cracks in open, exposed areas near treeline where a 3 to 4 inch 1F to P hard slab sits on the surface above softer storm snow. The storm snow below stiffer surface snow has began to facet. Wind-sheltered areas near treeline and below treeline were soft.
