Overall beautiful spring conditions for HSCT. Hard, icy crust on lower elevation at/below tree line. As the day progressed, the sun and warm temperatures melted the crust for wet snow afternoon riding conditions. Lots of overhead hazards to be weary of, and lots of snow falling from cornices and off trees/cliffs were heard; fallen snow would slide down, but did not cause any propagation of slides. Snow line quickly ended around 800m, easy, dry hike out required to FSR.

The snowpack changed as expected throughout the day, with the sun playing contributing most of the change throughout the day. The am snow was hard, crusty and softened into wet heavy snow with the afternoon sun. Lots of falling snow from cliffs and small cornices. Large cornices appeared as if they'd collapse very soon. Plenty of little cornice breaks occurring throughout late afternoon, and sliding down the snow crust, not causing any propagation where we were observing.
