Dtar of event is today Mon. Dec 6th not 5th. Skier accidental entering Blue Boy area at Shames Back Country. Made a couple of ski cuts with no slab releases entering chute on wind effected snow (thinish) over crusty layer below. But slough entrenched in chute started to move fast. May have set off thin slab that added up in terrain trough. Skier knocked down pulled air bag and slid about 150 m's or more down hill. Stayed at surface, lost one ski broke the other. Ate some snow but face uncovered by self with one arm free. Extricated by hand by partner. Able to modify gear, use tree branch snowshoe and both riders made way back to top t with support from resort staff member who brought other skis and skins. Pain in one ankle. Red arrows in 3rd pic indicate start zone and where skier stopped flowing along. Close call.
