With the skies clearing we decided to head into Corbin where we knew we could see a lot of terrain and get up quite high without exposing ourselves to steep terrain. We saw evidence of large natural avalanches that appear to have happened during the storm. Several of them with impressively wide crowns (see photos). Temperatures started out at -7 and warmed up quickly to -1. Wind was scouring in the alpine; loading and blowing the snow away. The storm brought about 40-50 cm of new snow which is sitting on weak sugary facets from that long cold spell we had.
