Previous day had heavy rain up to 2000m - possibly higher. Attempted Bonnington Traverse, made it to grassy hut, and decided to not continue. 2"thick hard rain crust on all aspects. Skis did not penetrate crust at all. Difficult terrain travel up and down. Bulletproof snow.
