Weather
Sunny, 20 degrees, breezy with wind depositing occuring. Rock outcrop to the skiers right of the mine dumps at loveland pass. About a 40 degree, north east facing slope. Generally windy area at about 12000ft
Snowpack
Roughly 4 obvious thick layers of snow. Top layer became the weakest once the sun hit with another fairly weak layer at the ground
Avalanche
Triggered by impact when entering the slope, a crown of just under a foot deep, roughly 20ft wide, extending to about 40ft wide at the bottom. Slow moving. Traveled maybe 100 yards to rocks below the slope.
