Rough travel. Widespread (everywhere, pretty much...) wind transport has resulted in hard, reactive, windslab development, on lee aspects and windscouring on fetch slopes. Massive spatial variability detracts further from a fun day out. We investigated the snowpack (attached in snowpack section)

While digging pit snow failed remotely on Jan 16 crust, with widespread propagation. Extended column test yielded a failure of this interface during cutting. This test also saw an easy failure at the Basal Facets at the base of the snowpack.
