Weather

Lingering orographic showers kept the mountains shielded in a thin haze. Light snow showers faded in and out throughout the day, while strong winds blew consistently from the west.

Avalanche

Surprisingly no avalanches were observed along the corridor from Twin Lakes to the Independence road closure. Many of the large paths had clear signs of recent and continued wind-loading, but no avalanches.
